My next set of writing classes for Loughborough University’s LU Arts begin this week – and there’s still time to join me there!
Wednesday 14th January kicks off a ten-week series of relaxed two-hour evening sessions of storytelling, writing craft and connecting with fellow local writers.
My classes are friendly, creative spaces for writers of all kinds — whether you’re just starting out or have a half-finished novel in the drawer you’d like some inspiration to finish.
Across the weeks we share ideas, discuss technique, try things out in short, no-pressure writing activities and gently build the skills and confidence to shape our own unique voices, starting from where we already are. Sharing work is always optional, with everything aimed towards creating a supportive, welcoming space.
Content focuses on creative word play with enough technique to move us on a bit — exploring things like story, character, poetry, dialogue and the things that make written pieces work really well.
Most of all, it’s a place to meet other writers, stretch writing muscles and enjoy creating wonderful things from just the ideas in our heads.

Note: classes take place from 7 to 9 pm on Wednesdays in Martin Hall on Epinal Way (opposite Loughborough College). They are open to members of the public as well as students and members of Loughborough University staff.
