Creative Projects

Organisations who’ve commissioned me to run writing workshops and creative projects include:

Charnwood Arts
RADAR at LU Arts
Th!nk FC and
Writing East Midlands.

I particularly love collecting and sharing personal and heritage stories from neglected pockets of the community and encouraging people who don’t think the arts and heritage sector are of relevance to themselves to understand the significance of their voice within it. Wherever possible, I publish participants’ work in pamphlets, anthologies or online, to document their stories forever and reinforce this message.

I have lots of experience running writing workshops in schools and for writers of all ages in the  community.  I’m a trained Arts Award assessor and include in projects the chance for young writers to gain an arts qualification wherever time and budget allows.

I’ve built a large network of creative friends over the years and often help out with family-friendly creative activities of all kinds at exhibitions, events and festivals. Sometimes, this means creating exhibition material myself.

And I’m never short of ideas for new projects. If only I could clone myself and do them all!
