The Church Mice are a small, friendly and supportive group of writers who meet virtually every Thursday afternoon for chat, chuckles and the odd bit of writing (some bits odder than others!)
The group grew out of workshops I ran at Loughborough All Saints Church for the ‘Hidden Stories Hidden Voices‘ community project in 2018. We carried on meeting in the church for some time after the project ended but transferred to Zoom over lockdown, where we’ve decided to stay so that non-local writers can continue to take part.
Activities are light-hearted, fun and largely have a ‘true-life-story’ feel, though some of our writers choose to write fictional pieces. There is no requirement to be either religious or a mouse to join in!
The Church Mice share our work on our blogging site – Charnwood Chronicles – and are currently pulling together an anthology of our work.
We keep the group small to allow time and space for everyone to participate and be heard, but currently have room for a couple of additional writers. Sessions start at 3 pm each Thursday and are an hour long, costing £5.
Email me – Alison Mott – at firstname.lastname@example.org if you might like to join us.
