In June 2025 Liz Waddell and I ran our first ‘Connect with Nature‘ creative retreat for artists and writers at Ulverscroft Activity Centre in the countryside of North West Leicestershire.

The day involved a short walk in the woodland surrounding the venue, time spent with Liz looking at and creating pictures of flowers, leaves and branches gathered on the walk, writing prompts about the natural environment shared by me, and responding to these creatively in the written word. We’ve now scheduled our second retreat – this time looking at nature in Autumn – for 13th September 2025.
